11. Only two forces act on an object (mass = 3.00 kg), as in the drawing. Find the magnitude and direction (relative to the x axis) of the acceleration of the object.

So we need to find the total x and y components of the force and then determine the x and y components of acceleration.  Then we can add x and y components using the Pythagorean theorem and use the tangent function to find the angle relative to the x axis.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Now we use Newton’s second law to find acceleration from force.
