At t = 1 s the circuit looks like

The two current sources add and the 5 k resistor has 3 mA flowing through it, so the voltage across the resistor is found by Ohm’s Law

 

 

At t = 4 s, the circuit now looks like

There is no current flowing through the resistor,

 

 

At t = 1 s

At t = 4 s
