Use voltage division to determine how much voltage is dropped over the two 8 resistors.

 

The left one has 1/3 of the total resistance in the left arm, so 1/3 of the voltage should be dropped over the 8 resistor or 4 V.

 

The right one has 2/3 of the total resistance in the right arm, so 2/3 of the voltage should be dropped over the 8 resistor or 8 V.

 

So comparing the two points, the + side is below the – side by 4 V so
