P 4.5-2 The values of the mesh currents in the circuit shown in Figure P 4.5-2 are

i₁ = 2 A, i₂ = 3 A, and i₃ = 4 A.

Determine the values of the resistance R and of the voltages v₁ and v₂ of the voltage sources.

Answers: R = 12 Ω, v₁ = –4 V, and v₂ = –28 V
