P 6.5-9 Determine the voltage  for the circuit shown in Figure P 6.5-9

Hint: Use superposition.

Answer: vo = (– 3)(3) + (4)(– 4) + (4)(8) = 7 V

So let’s deactivate the 4 V and the 2 mA sources and find  due to the 3 V source.  The circuit looks like

Since there can be no currents in the inputs and the non-inverting input is connected to ground .  Now find the current i

Solve for

Now deactivate the 3 V and the 2 mA source and we get

Again with no currents allowed in the inputs, we have -4 V at the non-inverting input so   Again find the current

Solve for

Finally deactivate the 3 V and the 4 V sources and we have

Again there can be no current in the input, so the voltage at the non-inverting input comes from the voltage across the 4 k resistor which must have 2 mA going through it, so

Now find current

Solve for

Now add the ’s upp
